Carrying the weight of love

I asked myself why love felt heavy,

and the answer came soft as breath:

love is only weight because it’s real.

And a voice inside whispered,

“but why not?”

Why not hold something that allows you to open?

Why not let the heart be brave?

If love asks for strength,

it also gives it.

If love asks for trust,

it also grows it.

So I carry the weight of love,

not as burden, but as a weight that feels like home

and the question echoing in my chest:

why not love, when love is what lifts me?

(Came to me in a dream. 11/23/26)
