About me
I’m a certified yoga teacher and Pilates instructor with a multidisciplinary background.
Movement has been part of my life since childhood—but it wasn’t until I experienced a period of disconnection that I truly began to understand its power. That chapter led me to explore nutrition, plant medicine, and nervous system regulation, eventually guiding me toward yoga as a lasting practice of embodiment and healing.
Originally from the East Coast, I made my way West, landing in Portland, Oregon. I began to deepen my focus on wellness. I earned my 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification, trained in traditional Hatha Yoga. My classes focus on building strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance. I have furthered my training in Kids Yoga and Restorative Yoga at Rising Tide Wellness, and Yin Yoga with Tracey Coleman.
After more than 400+ hours of yoga practice, I developed a deeper awareness of my movement patterns and areas in my body that needed additional support. While yoga remains a foundational and deeply valued part of my practice, I became curious about building greater joint stability and a more refined, supportive core connection.
This curiosity led me to develop a personal Pilates practice, where I observed how Pilates complements yoga - helping to strengthen stabilizing muscles, improve breathing and control, and support balanced movement. I have completed over 150 hours of Pilates training, including Mat Pilates certification with Body Soul Wellness and Reformer training with LiveMetta in Long Beach, California. I’m currently working toward my comprehensive STOTT Pilates certification, and continue to teach, practice and train at LiveMetta Long Beach and Personal Pilates studio in Burbank, CA.
I chose to study the STOTT Pilates method because it is founded on evidence-based principles, and prioritizes joint stability, spinal alignment, and foundational movement. STOTT Pilates is ideal if you want a practice that is precise, low-impact, supportive, adaptable, and rooted in science. I am trained to provide postural analysis and modify intelligently, specific to each person, not just teach choreography. I hope to continue teaching both yoga and Pilates, sharing the strengths of each practice while honoring their distinct origins and philosophies, and offering students an integrated approach to movement that supports long term resilience in the body.
Based in Los Angeles County, California, I teach fitness and yoga classes and workshops, and offer private sessions.
